typical stag itinerary

Friday evening

Arrive Friday evening to a warm West Country welcome
Visit a local pub for dinner, or have a meal on site using local produce

Saturday – Bushcraft Challenge Day

After a good night’s sleep and hearty breakfast, we set off for our woodland camp area, identifying
& tasting wild food along the route and learning a little about the archaeology, natural history, wildlife, and conservation of the area

Set up camp area in woodland – selecting campsite, location & orientation

Gather material for fire, learn basic fire lighting techniques and get the camp fire going so you can taste your first backwoods brew made over the fire

Learn how to safely use a Swedish MORA bushcraft knife to carve & whittle a spoon or other item

Skin & prepare rabbit, pheasant, or other seasonal wild game and cook your lunch (might be bunny burgers!) over your camp fire

Finish the day with a spear-throwing or bushbow archery competition.

Decamp & return to base (knackered but totally addicted to spoon carving...)

I would highly recommend the stag weekend you put on for us. Once again, THANK YOU!!”

Saturday evening

Dinner on site using local produce (or a minibus into Bristol or Bath for a night out)

Telling tall tales of the day’s adventures!
